Change is the only constant. Your career and growth as a human being is an evolutionary process. Get uncomfortable and you’ll find out a new range of skills you didn’t think you had

I am leaving Versace in a couple of weeks.
I will get to thank the Versace gang personally for the 4 rich years together so won’t be posting anything cheesy here but I’d like to share the following thoughts hoping they can be of inspiration, whatever stage your career is at:

1) Life does put us constantly under pressure and pushes us to be better than the ones we were the day before. If you think competition means being better than your peers, then you got it wrong, you are actually competing against yourself so don’t waste focus on others

2) You are not perfect, and are not required to be. You will fail and you will learn from failure

3) Smile. Be happy with what you have while you work for what you want

4) We are the average of the people we decide to surround ourselves with, look-out for winners, for people who are better than you and you will rise to greatness

5) No one ever made a decision because of a number, they need a story. “People won’t remember what you said or did but they will remember how you made them feel”

6) Take notes

7) Prioritize your own mental health, be aware of your feelings

8) Earn with your mind, not time

9) Overthinking is self sabotage in slow motion. Sometimes you need to just take action and trust that you will figure things out along the way

10) Change is the only constant. Your career and growth as a human being is an evolutionary process. Get uncomfortable and you’ll find out a new range of skills you didn’t think you had
